The in-class portion of the full BDE MTO-Approved Course
Our classes are much more interactive than most. We use an advanced PowerPoint presentation with engaging visuals that support the instructor’s real-life stories and lessons. Many students have shared that they “learned much more than expected,” “feel more confident about driving,” and “didn’t find the class boring at all.”
We also have 4 other in-car instructors who are very well-respected and requested by students—Percy, Ranee, Ian and Sandy.
TERRY
Driving Instructor
Terry has an extensive background in driver training. For over 30 years, he has had experience teaching students everything from parking to emergency skills. He started out with Young Drivers of Canada, then the Peel District School Board and The Centre for Education and Training, was an Oakville Skid School instructor and finally chose to raise his family and teach in Guelph. His training experience with drivers at the Skid School in Oakville included more advanced vehicle maneuvering such as skid control, avoidance techniques, emergency braking methods, and proactive driving habits.
PERCY
Driving Instructor
Percy is a very thorough instructor who uses clear and concise instruction that may help students to learn more quickly which can build their confidence. His hybrid vehicle offers students who have a similar vehicle at home something comparable to learn in while showing students who have never driven one the newer tech that many new vehicles may have when they get their own vehicle. As an instructor who has a dash cam, he has the ability to use footage when needed to help teens who are visual learners.
IAN
Driving Instructor
Joined us from his previous employer, Royal City driving school where he was widely considered their most popular instructor. Ian also possesses decades of experience having taught for Young Drivers of Canada for many years before his time with Royal City and is a seasoned pro at teaching all the skills needed to become a safe and skilled driver.
RANEE
Driving Instructor
Ranee is a very caring and considerate instructor who goes the extra mile to accommodate her students when possible. Her total commitment to helping students becomes obvious from the first lesson. As a former driving school owner, she knows what it takes to help students become calm and confident drivers.
SANDY
Driving Instructor
Sandy is a dedicated and thoughtful instructor who consistently goes above and beyond to support his students whenever possible. His commitment to student success is evident from the very first lesson. With his guidance, students gain the skills and confidence needed to become calm and capable drivers.
